Boys Will Be Boys: An American Tragedy is a well-written book that held my interest. Although the book is entertaining and not preachy, it's a good choice to share with your son or daughter because parents don't always know what their children are thinking. A good, honest relationship between parents and their children is important, and I didn't see anything tragic in the book that could not have been prevented with better parenting and school personnel doing their jobs.In addition to providing some reading entertainment, I hope that parents, educators, and students will think seriously about how they might help a depressed kid who really needs people who care.

OMG! My heart goes out to the friends and families of the shooters, the victims and their families. It's like an earthquake; with more and more aftershocks...spreading further and further afield.
Why wasn't the bullying nipped in the bud from the beginning? Everybody has a right to be who they are and dress however way they want without fear of being stereotyped. How dare the faculty at the school brand the boys as trouble makers and give a pass to the bullies! The staff at the school should be held accountable as they contributed to this tragedy too! This transcript of their life, families, girl friends will stay with me for a long time. Such avoidable tragedy of loss of lives.
This book was very well written in my eyes. I hated putting it down to fix dinner or anything else that did not involve reading more of this book. The author keeps your interest from page one to the last page. It is a sad and hard to realize teens could treat other teens like is described in this book but very truthful . The retaliation that the young teen boys do was extreme but one could understand they were at the end of their rope, they tried to ignore the bullies, but yet nothing worked! Please take the time and invest in this book you will not regret it for a single moment!!!
